Fairfax, VA - At their September 25 meeting the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors declared October as Library Foundation Month in Fairfax County. Secretary, Susan Thorniley, accepts Board of Supervisors proclamation from Board of Supervisors Chair, Gerry Connolly (pictured). To celebrate Library Foundation Month, the Fairfax County Public Library Foundation is offering free workshops on the latest in tax and financial benefits, planned gift options, how to maximize estate planning tools, and more. The workshops will be presented by Jeffrey M. Armstrong, CMFC®, a financial advisor and coach with Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc., and attorney James McConville. The workshops will be held: “The library foundation provides the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people who live, work and study in our community,” says the foundation’s Executive Director Roberta A. Longworth.
