Art in the Pages

An Invitation to Sponsors

""Remember the Pandamania and Party Animals (donkeys & elephants) sculptures a few years ago in Washington D.C.?  Perhaps you visited the Chicago cows, Fredericksburg fish or some other community celebration with theme statues. Not only did these popular initiatives provide a showcase for local artists, their wit and originality delighted the entire community.

Large open book statues will go on display in Fairfax County and the City of Fairfax in spring 2008, serving as centerpieces for many cultural and literacy programs throughout the summer.  After months on display throughout the summer of 2008, sponsors at the $10,000 Publisher Level will have the option to keep the open book statue.  Statues that are not kept will be donated to a library branch or other location or auctioned with proceeds benefiting the Library system through the Fairfax Library Foundation.

You are invited to participate in this high profile project by becoming a sponsor of Art in the Pages.

Your generosity will be acknowledged in many ways as outlined in the Sponsor Benefits document. Depending on the level, some outstanding benefits include a press release featuring your organization as a sponsor; admission to the artist paint-in, a VIP sponsorship reception and final auction event; recognition in the Art in the Pages promotional materials, including your logo on the popular Map and Guide identifying statue locations; your logo on the plaque of every statue that you sponsor; recognition at various program events; and much more.

We are excited about the possibility of this rare one-time project to have the joys of art and reading celebrated by the entire community – all ages, all cultures!  Please consider making this very special contribution to ensure the success of our first truly all-Fairfax County community public art initiative.  If you have any questions about the project and the many unique opportunities, please or call the Library Foundation at 703-324-8300.

We hope you are as enthusiastic as we are about this high profile project to benefit the Library system through the Fairfax Library Foundation!

Celebrate the art of reading in Fairfax!
