Write to your Supervisor
Write to your supervisor on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors and encourage them to become a library advocate with you! Letters from constituents, like you, allow the supervisors to gain insight on what is important to the citizens of Fairfax County. By starting a dialogue with your district representative, you will be able to have your voice be heard in order to influence policies in Fairfax County. Persuade your supervisor to support the mission of the library and to stand up against proposed limits to this valuable resource, which strengthens communities all across the county.
Fairfax Library Foundation is dedicated to supporting the library, and together we can create a promising future for the 23 branches that serve all of Fairfax County and the City of Fairfax. Lobbying at the grassroots level, such as letter-writing to elected representatives, is truly the epitome of democratic participation. Let your voice be heard, share your passion for Fairfax County Public Library, and make a difference in the community.
