About the Program

Ann E. Rust

Ann Rust.Ann Edwards Rust joined the Advisory Board of the Fairfax Library Foundation in 2005. Other civic activities include her service as Chair as well as Fundraising Chair of the International Children’s Festival held at Wolftrap Park for the Performing Arts. Ann serves on the Executive Committee of the Herndon Festival and on the Board of Directors for the Arts Council of Fairfax County, where she is the incoming President.

Ann has also served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Fairfax County Volunteer Center and is a former Vice-President of the Junior League of Northern Virginia. She supports Herndon Community Television; the Council for the Arts of Herndon; Herndon Arts Center Foundation; the Herndon Fortnightly Women’s Club and the Herndon Historical Society. She is a former President of the Nysmith School Foundation. Ann is an advocate for and volunteers with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Ann was the Director of Constituent Services in the Office of Rep. Thomas M. Davis, III (VA-11) until January, 2009. Prior to that, she served as Executive Director for the Council for the Arts of Herndon and as the Marketing Specialist for the Town of Herndon.

Ann and her husband, Tom, are members of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church. They have a daughter, two sons and two grandchildren. They reside in Herndon.
