Suzanne McIntire
When Suzanne McIntire couldn't find the garden book she wanted, she set out to write it herself. Twelve gardening seasons later, she was ready to share what she had learned—An American Cutting Garden, published by the University of Virginia Press and nominated for the annual Library of Virginia Literary Award.
She writes for Fine Gardening magazine and is also the author of The American Heritage Book of Great American Speeches for Young People.
She gardens in the sun and the shade, and the heat and the cold, in Arlington, Virginia.
