The Edwin S. Clay, III Scholarship
As a special recognition of Edwin 'Sam' Clay's twenty-five years of exceptional service and dedication to Fairfax County Public Library, a scholarship has been named in his honor. Also deemed as the Virginia Public Library Director's Association's "Outstanding Library Director of the Year", he leads our library system that has been named among the "Top Library Systems in the Nation." This special Academic Scholarship of the Friends Scholarship Fund is awarded annually.

Duwain Ketch is recognized before the Fairfax County Public Library Board of Trustees for creating the concept for the Library Foundation's Friends Scholarship Fund.
Friends Honor Former President with Friends Scholarship Fund Gift
The Friends of the Chantilly Regional Library presented a $5,000 donation to Library Foundation’s Friends Scholarship Fund in honor of their past president, Barbara Hoge.
“I don’t do this for the fanfare and many individuals worked together to enhance our library in many ways,” Hoge explains. “This gift will enable staff and volunteers to better serve Fairfax County.”
