Grand Mart Celebrates 1st Anniversary with Gift to Library Foundation
Fairfax, VA - On Thursday, January 26, MS Grand, Inc., a Korean-owned international market, donated $1,500 to the Fairfax County Public Library Foundation, Inc. as part of the first anniversary celebration of the Grand Mart 7 store, located on Arlington Boulevard.
Phyllis Ray, branch manager of Thomas Jefferson Library in Falls Church, and Martina Murphy, finance and resource manager of the Fairfax County Public Library Foundation, accepted the donation.
“Grand Mart continues to be exceptionally supportive of our community, having contributed $15,000 to benefit our library system to commemorate store openings and anniversaries,” says Murphy. “Grand Mart sets a wonderful example for other businesses that might consider marking their success with such acts of generosity.”
The Thomas Jefferson Library staff will utilize the donation for library enhancements following the upcoming building renovation. “This gift is a sizable amount for our community library; it will have a notable impact,” Ray says, adding that the donation will benefit “so many individuals who live, work, or study in this Falls Church community.”
