Presenting the 2007 Perspectives Series Fairfax County Public Library Foundation is proud to underwrite the 2007 Perspectives Series, cosponsored by the Fairfax County Public Library and the Alden Theatre. All events in this series begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be held at the Alden Theatre of the McLean Community Center. On Tuesday, March 20, Susan Orlean, author of The Orchid Thief, will present “My Encounters with Extraordinary People.” As a writer for The New Yorker and author of several books, Orlean has explored the lives of an enormous range of subjects from kids and kings to gospel choirs and an orchid thief, the subject of the 2002 film “Adaptation.” Books will be available for sale and signing courtesy of Barnes & Noble – Tysons Corner.
Free tickets will be available beginning at 6:30 p.m. the evening of each event held at the Alden Theatre (limit two tickets per person). For directions, call 703-790-0123.
