Library Jubilee!

Jubilee, Saturday October 18 from 5 to 8:30 p.m.Over 200 library lovers, including many library Friends Groups, political officials, and library staff, as well as the general public joined together to celebrate Fairfax County Public Library’s 75th anniversary AND the 20th anniversary of Fairfax Library Foundation at A Library Jubilee! on October 18 at the City of Fairfax Regional Library!

Gary Noesner.Gary Noesner, former FBI Hostage Negotiator and author of Stalling for Time, joined us at this year’s event as the keynote speaker!

The Foundation raised over $155,000 thanks to our sponsors, especially Publisher Sponsors A.J. Dwoskin & Associates, Elite Island Resorts-Caribbean, Friends of the Burke Centre Library, Friends of the Kings Park Library, Friends of the Pohick Regional Library, and Friends of the Richard Byrd Library, and Editor Sponsors ExxonMobil, Friends of the City of Fairfax Regional Library, Friends of the George Mason Regional Library, Friends of the Oakton Library, and Zula Nyala Games Lodge.

Library Foundation Scholarship Program

The Fairfax Library Foundation established a Scholarship Program to award three different scholarships to enhance the skills and talents of current or future library staff and volunteers in Fairfax County and the City of Fairfax, subsequently enhancing the level of service the library can provide.

Programs We Support

In addition to reinforcing the need for continued and increased public support, the mission of the Fairfax Library Foundation includes serving as a catalyst for attracting private funding from individuals, businesses, organizations and foundations to enhance library services.
