 Delores Lashley
Delores Lashley is the Development Assistant for the Fairfax County Public Library Foundation. She provides administrative support in a variety of areas including communications, logistics, publicity, financial reconciliation and securing donations.
She worked at Drexel University as the Assistant to the Dean of Admissions and College of Engineering and Science in Philadelphia before moving to Virginia and opening a gift shop called “Gifts and Precious Memories.” in 1993. Two years later, Delores accepted a position with the Ford Motor Company in Chantilly as the Administrative Assistant to the Regional Director. Delores began her employment with Fairfax County in January of 2001 as an Administrative Assistant for Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority. Prior to joining the Library Foundation, she worked for the Department of Family Services for more than four years as an Administrative Assistant for the Office for Children, Child Protection Services and Family and Child Units. Ms. Lashley has over 30 years of experience and training in her administrative career and looks forward to further enhancing the Fairfax County Public Library through the Foundation. |
