Leah R. Fried. Leah R. Fried

Leah R. Fried is a Vice-President of Fried Companies, Inc., a real estate development, construction, property management, and leasing firm begun by her parents B. Mark and Barbara Fried. She also serves as the Vice Chairman and Director of Public Relations for Olde Towne Pet Resort, a $7 million, 28,000 square-foot "day spa and hotel" for dogs and cats in Springfield, Virginia.

Ms. Fried graduated as a Valedictorian from West Springfield High School in Fairfax County, Virginia; received a Bachelors of Art from Brown University (class of 1990); and a Masters of Science in Urban Planning from the Columbia University Graduated School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation (class of 1993) where she won a Kinne fellowship for an international housing study and the school's award for best Master's thesis.

Previously, Ms. Fried worked as a Feasibility Analyst for Real Estate Recovery Economic Associates, with a focus on VHDA and industrial development and as a due diligence researcher for RAMCO, a company that processed and disposed of real estate assets for the Resolution Trust Commission.

Leah Fried currently serves or has served: Fairfax County Public Library Foundation, Board; UCM Community Solutions, Board; Laurel Grove School Association, Executive Vice President; Transportation Association of Greater Springfield (TAGS), Secretary; Alexandria Affordable Housing Advisory Committee.
